Ubuntu: How to install Java? (JRE and browser Plug-in)
If you have hit a website that says your Firefox browser in Ubuntu Linux needs to have Java installed, this installation instruction should work in a terminal window. It will install the Java Runtime Environment and the Java browser plug-in:
